Changelog¶
2.0.7 (08-17-2021)¶
This is a maintenance release which improves compatibility with blender
add-on development ideals along with some fixes.
New Features:
CI and packaging using Github Actions
Make runtime errors more informative
Preliminary support for exporting to COMSOL
BlendGAMer support for Blender 2.93LTS
Fixes:
Normal smooth no longer applies on the boundaries of a mesh
Resolves an issue where computing normals fails due to zero-area faces
Other:
Update versions of dependencies (Eigen, Tetgen, Pybind11, Google-Test)
2.0.6 (02-25-2020)¶
This is a maintenance release which improves compatibility with blender
add-on development ideals along with some fixes.
New Features:
Broad adoption of
BMesh
API to reduce calls toops
.Improved error handling in
BlendGAMer
In
BlendGAMer
, Boundary marked materials are no longer looked up by name.
Fixes:
Resolves premature exit from
tetrahedralize
.Cell markers are now correctly propagated from
tetgen
.
2.0.5 (11-11-2019)¶
New Features:
Betti number calculation for manifold surface meshes.
Port of curvature calculations via Osculating Jets from CGAL.
Improvement to
BlendGAMer
curvature calculation interface.Improvements to documentation.
Improved compatibility between
gamer::tensor<>
andEigen::Matrix<>
objects.
Fixes:
Relaxes
CMake
minimum required version to be 3.10 to match Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.Fixes flipped sign of mean curvature computed by MDSB algorithm and subsequently k1 and k2.
2.0.4 (09-12-2019)¶
New Features:
Updated BlendGAMer to work with newly released Blender 2.80.
Improvements to the documentation.
Fixes:
Fixes for matplotlib dependency detection in Blender Addon.
2.0.3 (07-24-2019)¶
New Features:
Faster mesh curvature calculation with better Blender interface (#38).
Edge flip now considered the vertex adjacency (#38). We now impose a penalty/boost to prefer reasonable adjacencies.
Normal vectors of faces and vertices can now be cached to improve speed (#38).
Fixes:
Fix for Dolfin XML writer. Previously vertex renumbering in the writer could generate mislabeled boundary markings. It is recommended that all users of this function update to this release.
2.0.2 (06-25-2019)¶
New Features:
Move from SWIG to use Pybind11 to generate Python binding (#30).
Now using FetchContent to populate external libraries (#30).
Introduced calculation of curvatures (#26) and Helfrich energy evaluation (#27).
Substantially improved documentation of both C++ and Python hosted at https://gamer.readthedocs.io (#34)
Fixes:
Cleanup of compiler warnings and implicit casts (#30).
Various bug fixes (#19, #24, #29). Thanks @justinlaughlin.
